Hi, my name is Carlotta and I am a visual storyteller and 2D animator from Hamburg, Germany, who specializes in character design and concept art. 

 

I like to explore stories that convey a feeling of nostalgia, experimenting with the tension between the known and unknown; the past and the present.

Capturing the mundane and fleeting moments, and visualizing their tenderness and emotional significance in animation is what motivates me.

 

I am fascinated by the line between rationality and emotionality; reality and imagination. That is why I like to create art with a dreamlike and wondrous quality and worlds that allow one to escape reality.

 

Focussing on characters, I enjoy animating fluid and harmonic movements and experimenting with different mediums, and finding ways to combine them.

 

I am currently doing my Bachelor in animation at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
